Morris Martick, the colorful restaurateur who ran a downtown Baltimore landmark for nearly four decades, died of lung cancer Dec. 16, 2011 at Union Memorial Hospital. He was 88. See pictures of Martick through the years.

Morris Martick, 83, outside of the restaurant that bears his name. He was born in the very same building, and has been serving French cuisine there for 35 years.

I hope you don't mind me adding a link to photos and video of Morris that was shot in September 2010. I'll be honored if you accept the addition to your truly excellent set of photos.
Baltimore writer Rafael Alvarez and I were on a nostalgic walk up Mulberry St. past the former Martick's Restaurant, up around the corner by where Sherman's Book Store was and on down Park Avenue. And there came Morris Martick walking up the sidewalk toward us. Ralph engaged Morris in conversation, as I shot some still photos and a little video. You can view that photography on my blog. Enjoy:
