Meet the Band

Uncle Dave Huber

Hometown: Baltimore

Current members: Dave Huber, vocals, acoustic guitar and harmonica

Founded in: 2002

Style: folk/Americana

Influenced by: Hank Williams Sr., Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, Woody Guthrie

Notable: Huber leans on traditional folk and blues songs for inspiration. He released a self-titled album in 2005 and plays live several times a week at bars and clubs in Greater Baltimore.

Quotable: "I think a lot of it is the songwriting," Huber said. "They're just good, straightforward, honest songs. There's a lot of sharing. ... You build on it, you tweak it or you just make it your own style. The cover songs I do, you learn them and a couple years later listen to the original again and say, 'Wow, I do that totally different.'"
