A night out on the town is always a good reason to get dressed up. Unless you're Dr. Michele Henley. She doesn't need an excuse to gussy up because she does it almost every day. Too bad many of her patients don't get their own glimpse of her style. Her outfits are usually covered by her white coat and stethoscope.

Self-described style: Modern

The look: Calvin Klein faux leopard coat. Anne Klein green cardigan. Gucci multicolor silk baby doll top. Citizens of Humanity jeans. Nine West brown-almond toe boots. Faux pearl bracelet. Movado bangle watch. Carved shell earrings. Aaneta brown leather and leopard-print trim handbag.

Where it came from: She got the coat at a post-holiday sale at Macy's. The cardigan, jeans, earrings and bracelet came from Nordstrom. She found the top at the Gucci store in Tysons Corner. The bag came from the Treasure House. She's had her watch for years and doesn't remember where she got it.

The basics: "I shop about once a month at Nordstrom and Macy's. I have most of my jeans and pants. They're [fairly] basic. So, I'm usually looking more for jackets and tops. ... I look for stuff I haven't seen on other people, so I try to catch it when it first comes out."

The white-coat effect: "Fashion is important to me. It takes the monotony out of my day because I always have a white coat on. But I still know what I have on underneath."

No such thing as overdressed: "I think I dress up when I don't need to. I pretty much dress up all the time. People will say I'm overdressed, but I love it. ... I [especially] try to take advantage of the times [my fiance Donald Williams and I] go out. I try to surprise him by wearing something new he hasn't seen before."

She never bags the bag: "I always try to pick out a stylish bag. ... I saw a Gucci bag I have my eye on that I'm trying to talk my fiance into getting for me. But we're planning a wedding, so that's on the back burner."
