Alvin Katz, president and CEO of KAWG&F
Five Things I Have To Have Now
Most people dread the period between early January and April 15. For Alvin Katz, it's just business as usual. The president and CEO of KAWG&F, one of the 10 largest accounting firms in the Baltimore area, has seen his company through quite a fair share of tax seasons.
In 1969, the business consisted of Katz, his business partner John Abosch, and an answering machine. Today, KAWG&F has five offices.
Katz, 65, who lives with his wife in Baltimore, says he's grateful for the success he's achieved in his life and is content. Still, there are a few items on his wish list.
1. A romantic trip to Paris with my wife
"I think Paris is one of the most romantic places in the world. I've been there twice. She's never been there. So, I would love to share the experience with her."
2. A trip to Israel
"It's been seven years since I've been there. I'd really like to go there again."
3. The Orioles and Ravens becoming really good teams
"I've been around long enough to remember the glory days of both. It would make it more enjoyable to go to the games."
4. A lower golf handicap
"I think it would be more fun for me if I were a better player."
5. A private Rolling Stones concert for family and friends
"I've been to two of their concerts, and I was blown away."
