Chicago Symphony Orchestra conductor Riccardo Muti

Maestro Riccardo Muti was named the music director of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in 2008, joining the symphony ahead of its 2010-'11 season. The Italian-born conductor had been the music director of the Philadelphia Orchestra and a guest conductor with the New York Philharmonic.
