( January 30, 2013 ) It's hard work being funny. It's even harder work being semifunny, because you have to deal with not only a lack of laughs but also the effect that has on the rest of your stand-up act. And for comedians, who work off ego and verve, that can be a tough hustle. Bill Bellamy is semifunny, like "Monty Python's Flying Circus." Some gags will have you rolling on the floor, others will leave you nursing your drink and staring at him, thinking "Go back to MTV, dude." But that's stand-up.
