'Everything Is Illuminated'

This is a quirky dramatic adaptation by the British writer Simon Block of the very personal and emotional debut novel by Jonathan Safran Foer. It follows a young Jewish American in the Ukraine as he attempts to find the woman who saved his grandfather from the Nazis -- the woman to whom he owes his existence. Director Devon De Mayo turns Block's fluid adaptation into a very warm and involving piece of theater. - Chris Jones
