Jimmy Kimmel channels Emmy nominees
Jimmy Kimmel is already having a laugh with the Emmys. The late-night host, who will emcee the annual awards show on Sept. 23, did a photo shoot with TV Guide magazine dress as characters from nominated shows.
He appears on four covers of the Sept. 10 issue as Khaleesi from "Game of Thrones," Walter White from "Breaking Bad," the Dowager Countess from "Downton Abbey" and Don Draper from "Mad Men." Two additional photos present him as Nucky Thompson from "Boardwalk Empire" and Marine Sgt. Nicholas Brody from "Homeland."
Kimmel hopes to bring the same playfulness to the broadcast.
"I know its a miserable show to sit through if you're in the audience and sometimes it can be miserable to sit through if you're at home," he tells TV Guide. "My goal is to make the show funny from beginning to end. I'm going to do as much as I can to make that happen."
