'Gossip Girl' recap: 'Monstrous Ball'
The latest episode marks the halfway point of the final season, yet were still as confused as ever.

Not to be outdone by the infamous Rufus-waffles, Serena tries her hand at cooking and makes breakfast for Steven and Sage. But for once Steven is only slightly over-romantic instead of completely over the top, causing Serena to become suspicious (for the record, he insists it's not the pancakes). Serena visits Nate for advice, and he tells her that all of his ex-girlfriends would have just gone through his phone already ... obviously, he's the right person to turn to for relationship advice. Serena heads back to Steven's apartment to snoop through his things, but instead she finds an engagement ring in his computer bag that's probably worth more than ten of his laptops. Serena understandably starts jumping up and down, but she doesn't manage to compose herself before Sage realizes what she must be so excited about.
