This week’s episode was not short on drama. And I don’t know about you, but I was still traumatized by last week’s stripper scene.
Apparently when Phaedra feels bad about something she shows up with peace offer. Just like she brought Kim gifts, she stopped past Kandi’s boutique with a cake. Such a Southern lady.
They have a few laughs about the stripper’s talent and perhaps he should be in Ripley’s Believe It Or Not Museum. Kandi makes light of the situation by asking Phaedra what she would do if she could please herself. “I probably would never go to work,” Phaedra replies and they both burst into laughter.
Cynthia tries her hand at hosting a runway show. Let’s just say I agree with Phaedra and sometimes, “You want to look at models not really hear them.” Nervous energy got the best of her as she fumbled horribly over her words and continually corrected herself.
She could have money on the mind since she may have to fork over lots of it because one of Peter’s investors backs out. Although Cynthia’s mom tries to sit with her girls to hash out their issues, Cynthia’s sister is not having it and literally breaks down once she finds out about the possibility of Cynthia giving up more money. I kind-of agree with her sister. I mean I can’t keep giving you money for your reckless ideas that obviously aren’t working.
Over in the park, Sheree takes her youngest child out to play while she meets with her children’s father Bob Whitfield. He’s a retired NFL player and apparently either too broke or too ignorant to pay his child support. He basically confirms that he doesn’t plan on ever paying up and she’s going to have to take him to court.
Even though Sheree is a millionaire and doesn’t need his money, it’s the principal of the thing. After a brief yelling battle, Sheree throws her bottle of water in his face and storms off. She is thinking about hiring Phaedra to be her attorney to collect child support but it was short lived. She tears up at the thought of the hassle, so she decides to hold off for now.
Since she didn’t return her calls Kandi goes to visit her mom, and let me tell you -- Joyce is still PISSED. I’m not sure if this is the best time bring up your adult toy line idea but I don’t even think Joyce is listening anymore. She ends the conversation with, “I hope that when she’s older, your daughter has more respect for you than you had for me at that party.” OUCH!
Kim being preggers obviously isn’t interesting to the show producers since she’s barely in any of these scenes. She talks a bit with her daughter, Brielle, just to reassure her that baby Kroy isn’t going to change their family. I think Brielle misses Big Poppa’s wallet too.
Speaking of big, NeNe (and her ego) was asked by her new bestie Cynthia to host the premiere of Peter’s bar, Bar One. You know since NeNe is a big celebrity in Atlanta and all. After NeNe leaves, Peter tells Cynthia that he doesn’t need her money to bail him out, he’ll handle it. Let’s see how long Bar One lasts without that investment money.
Since NeNe is a celebrity she shows up an hour late to the Bar One premiere. As it stands, it happened to be a really good scandalous reason why she waited until the party was almost over to arrive.
While she was married to Gregg she had a one-night stand with a guy named Charles. Somehow, for drama sake, he happened to be at this party with his then-girlfriend Marlo. But as far as we know, these are just rumors and NeNe was just fashionably late.
