This episode starts as such a snooze fest. Kim's labor is being induced, Cynthia and NeNe travel to NYC on business, and Phaedra reps a weed dealer in court. Where's the screaming and the hair pulling? These peaches are not impressing me this season.
As Kim's being prepped for labor, her nurse asks her about her medical history. Kim reveals that she's pretty healthy. But do you guys remember when she told the world during a reunion special that she had cancer? Insert puzzled face here. Anyways, baby boy KJ is finally here. Proud Mom Kim and family are super excited. Guess that psychic was right about something.
Cynthia meets with an old friend in NYC: media mogul Russell Simmons. Shocker, they used to date when she was a young model finding her way in the big city. She tells him about the Bailey Agency School for Models. Thank gosh he doesn't lie to her. He questions how she is going to coach the "chubby" girls who may visit her agency for guidance. They agree that maybe it should be called the Bailey Agency School for Fashion. That way she can still take the "chubby" girls' money and not feel bad about it. Later in the episode she meets with her best friend, Kithe, who has lost over 80 pounds, and she is so impressed at how good he looks. She confesses to him how much she misses New York and how materialistic those silly peaches are. As if the Big Apple isn't. Yeah, OK! Cynthia also feels as if she's constantly doing damage control for Peter and her marriage. Not the walk in the park she had hoped we'd see.
Kandi gives her mom a fancy drag queen makeover, an extra-small Spanx and a sports car for her to lie on. All this just to put her mom on a dating site, as she's newly single. Hmmmm. I won't comment on the newly single part, but I agree with moms: It was way too much makeup for a 60-year-old. Kandi reminds her mom to use condoms. EWW to having that discussion with your mom!
NeNe has a romantic business dinner with her business partner, John (an Italian pizza shop owner with money). She's obviously learned quite a bit from Donald. First thing: Use what you've got to get what you want. We like John, though; he comes with that blue Tiffany box and those red-bottom Louboutin heels! He's a keeper. They might wanna hit the gym together.
Next week (or should I say two days from now) catch an all-new RHOA at 9 p.m. Tuesday when Bob and Sheree along with Phaedra face off in court!
