If looks could kill ...
Last night's show may have been the toughest to date for Sean. Down to three ladies that he clearly has "very strong feelings for," he still had to decide which one did he not think was a candidate for being his future wife.
Ashlee, Catherine and Lindsay are all very beautiful girls and each holds a special place with Sean for very different reasons. The only common denominator among the three is beauty.
Sean spends a little time telling us what he sees in each of the final three.
There is an undeniable chemistry between Catherine and Sean. In Catherine, Sean enjoys that she's "weird, nerdy and goofy." I'm hoping he sees that she has the ability to be serious when needed, since these are the best characteristics for picking a wife.
Ashlee is described as the strongest relationship (YAY!). Sean tells us that Ashlee has all of the qualities that he's looking for in a wife. They have a soul connection and adoration. They have the same views on family, marriage and their future together. I say cut the show right here, pop the question and go have beautiful blonde babies.
Lindsay, who has the most annoying voice of any adult woman ever, seems to be holding down her spot in Sean's heart. Who would have ever believed the crazy chick that showed up on day one in a wedding dress would make it this far?
Sean tells us there has been a spark between the two of them that has fully ignited, though she lacks some depth and maturity, Sean says that Lindsay still brings "something."
Well last night's dates all had the possibilities of turning into overnights that we would not receive invitations to. What do you think really goes on, once the cameras stop rolling?
To each lady, Sean said his only intention was to stay up all night "talking." Talking with no distractions or interference. He actually used this line on all three of them and all three of them said yes.
Lindsay and Sean spent the day at a fresh market. Holding hands, kissing, catching up and sampling the local foods, including a few bugs(!). Sean tells Lindsay she's the best friend that he's been looking for. We see and feel the chemistry and the date is amazing.
The two discuss the future including Lindsay's move to Dallas if he were to pop the question. Lindsay is game, probably already packed and yes, she'll move to Dallas. Everything feels right and real to the couple. She tells Sean she loves him and she tells him again and Sean replies "I love hearing you say that." (Side eye)
Ashlee got a chance to step outside of her comfort zone on a whole 'nother level, swimming through a dark cave, holding on to Sean, trusting that a beautiful private island rested on the other side of the cave. Freaked out and afraid, she does it; she follows Sean trusting that he had her. He did.
They arrive on the other side of the cave, on Monkey Beach, the blue waters and white sands were simply dreamy, the opportunity to feed monkeys from your hand on the beach just a page from a fantasy novel. They swam and talked and kissed.
Back for dinner, Ashlee goes on to describe her ring and give her ring size -- that would be a size six, please. Hmmmm? Not quite sure I know how Sean felt about that forward conversation. Perhaps they "talked" about it all night in the fantasy suite.
Finally Catherine. They discuss that she is ready to settle down. Prepared to move to Dallas. Sean loves her energy and how much fun they continue to have even when the cameras stop. Catherine still hasn't said those three little words, but neither has Sean and perhaps that is his attraction to her, the only chick that in a few weeks hasn't pinky sweared that she will never leave him and love him forever.
It rains, and they share a kiss in the rain. They snorkel. They discuss her beliefs in traditional love and marriage. She keeps hesitating to tell him she loves him and finally says it! Immediately saying yes to the fantasy suite after.
After the fantasy dates, Sean spends a little time with Chris, chatting about the tough decision before him and what he sees in each of the remaining girls.
Each of the ladies was able to record a video message for Sean, we watch him as he watches them. Catherine and Lindsay's are light and funny like each of them is and Ashlee, we see can barely contain her emotions and cries during her video as she tries to tell Sean how much he means to her and how emotionally invested she is in the relationship. As she chokes up, we see Sean choke up. There is something very real between Ashlee and Sean and we can feel it as we watched them. She's the one.
Sean tells the ladies again how tough the decision was that he had to make and how he doesn't want to hurt anyone and blah, blah, blah. He calls Lindsay, she accepts the rose. Final rose -- he calls Catherine.
I gasped, could not catch my breath and almost passed out. Not Ashlee?!?!? She loves you more than words can express! She cried during the video. You told her that she had everything you were looking for in a wife! So what happened in the fantasy suite and did it seal her fate?
Cut to Ashlee's face. If looks could kill. Frozen. Eyes piercing. She walks by Sean and tells him to "just stay." She says nothing to him and we can see the look in her eyes, she is angry, hurt and very upset. Sean begs for an opportunity to tell her why, but rambled something that was no explanation. We need answers! He had none.
We watch Ashlee drive off, in total disbelief of what just happened. Catherine and Lindsay watch Sean as he sits outside with his face in his hands, clearly moved by Ashlee's departure. But hey, he signed up for this and has been here before. Sorry to see Ashlee go, but someone had to and from the looks of it, Sean likes them a little dingy, weird and goofy -- Ashlee may have just been too serious for him.
Next week: the reunion. Two weeks final dates. Three weeks is our big live finale. We're almost there folks! See ya next week at the reunion.
