'Revenge' recap, More story lines and, of course, drama
The number of story lines and twists going on is getting hard to keep up with, and new characters are being introduced faster than Emily Thorne can plot against them. (ABC)
The number of story lines and twists going on is getting hard to keep up with, and new characters are being introduced faster than Emily Thorne can plot against them.
The episode opens with some of the back story between Emily and Aiden (no longer the mystery man). We learn that he was training with Takeda in hopes of finding his sister, and that he and Emily had a love affair before he disappeared to find his sister. He seems determined to plot against the Graysons, which should only add confusion to Emily's plots against them.
Speaking of plotting against the Graysons, how much of the press conference had Emily planned? We know she expected something big to happen at it, but Aiden dropped off Victoria's fake passport without Emily knowing, which is what put the family drama in motion.
Did Emily realize Victoria would call Amanda up on stage? I don't know how she would have planned it, but she did insist Amanda stay, so she must have expected something, and how convenient -- it would make Jack realize Amanda was at the Graysons.
It's nice to see for all of her composure that deep down Emily is still a catty girl who wants to win the boy.
Even Daniel is jumping on the plotting against Victoria bandwagon, by beating her at her own game. His willingness to so quickly forgive her caught me off guard at first, but considering he was raised by her, engaged to Emily, and is now dating Ashley, a little conniving should be second nature to him by now.
In things that aren't surprising, Declan has managed to get himself into more bad situations, and is now robbing houses with his new best buddy.
This sure escalated quickly from holding a (stolen) piece of jewelry. And, because it is Ryan Atwood Declan, he brought his ID with him, and managed to leave it behind. That prep school he is attending does not seem to be improving his decision making skills.
It's hard to believe Emily's mom has been living so close to everyone all these years -- will she see Amanda with Victoria during the press conference and try to make contact?
This episode has left me with so many questions -- and the previews for next week look very intense!
So buckle up; I suspect Emily's quest to find her mom, while winning back Jack and ruining Victoria in the process, is only just beginning.
