I stick with my original opinion of the Miami housewives -- if Elsa is in an episode, it's probably a good episode. Marysol's mother Elsa, opens the episode by threatening to hit a drag queen with her pocket book.
Leah finally confronts Marysol and surprisingly apologizes to Marysol. But Marysol doesn't accept her apology or the invitation to her gala.
Adriana confronts Karent (finally) after complaining about "beating her to the tweet" for the last two episodes. Adriana tells Karent she interrupts, is a copycat and thrives on the spotlight. Alexia, a housewife from last season who chose not to be on the show this season because her son was in a very serious car accident, agrees with Adriana. Then Karent tells Alexia that she's shocked by the way she is treating her because she sent her messages saying she was sorry about her son's accident. Using Alexia's seriously injured son to guilt her into feeling bad about attacking her. Low blow. Alexia immediately asks Karent to leave and she does so relatively gracefully-saving a shred of her dignity.
The next day Ana visits Alexia, and it's clear that despite her son's progress, she is still struggling to deal with the situation. Ana is equally offended by Karent's behavior at the party.
The division between the housewives is forming, and the show's premise of new money vs. old (that they promoted in all the previews) is finally coming to fruition. We will see how this plays out. My guess is it will be Joanna, Karent and Lisa versus Adriana, Ana and Leah (and sometimes Marysol).
After hinting that Roman may not be fully committed to Joanna, she looks at Roman's emails. She is shocked to find messages between him and another girl. I'm not shocked. But still, I feel bad for Joanna- well, as bad as you can feel for a gorgeous model.
Her solution? Let's make him a romantic dinner.
Marta comes over while Joanna is cooking and says that she is ridiculous for doing this for him. But Joanna wants to fight for their relationship.
What's more pathetic than her attempt to save the relationship? Joanna's cooking skills. But in the end she makes a meal that Roman actually says is good.
Joanna works up the courage to bring up the emails and Roman is surprisingly honest.
Roman tells Joana he wanted to leave her, but he couldn't do it. Joanna admits she has been selfish in their relationship over the last year. But Roman wants to regain her trust, and she wants to make it work.
Well that went better than expected.
Next week we can look forward to a lingerie party and Joanna getting punched in the face. Can't wait to see what solicited that!Copyright © 2014, The Baltimore Sun
