This week the ladies are headed to Bimini. My initial reaction is, where the heck is Bimini? For those of us who don't know about beautiful, Caribbean islands, Bimini is an island located in the Bahamas.
My next thought is why do the Bravo producers keep forcing these women, who clearly hate each other, to go on trips together? I guess they think we like the drama. I think, "wow, I should really pop a few aspirin before watching this show."
Let's recap who isn't getting along:
Marysol vs. Lea- they don't like each other because... well actually we don't know exactly why. Lea thinks that Marysol was badmouthing her business. Marysol says she wasn't.
Karent vs. Adriana- They're not getting along because Karent beat her to the tweet. Plus Adriana finds Karent annoying because she constantly needs the spotlight.
Adriana vs. Joanna- They've been in both a physical and shouting fight. Somehow Joanna got stuck between Adriana and Karent's fight and now they hate each other.
Ana and Alexia vs. Karent- They aren't really in a fight, but Ana and Alexia really don't care for Karent. Both Alexia and Ana aren't quiet when it comes to their opinions, so it's pretty likely there will be some type of confrontation.
There's probably more bad blood between the housewives, but I can't remember at this point. It's just safe to say that they won't be getting along the majority of this trip, which is really a pity because Bimini is gorgeous.
The trip starts off on a great note. Just kidding. Adriana brings five suitcases to the airport, but forgets her passport and can't go on the private plane with the ladies. Marysol almost throws up all over the private plane and the housewives. And then Adriana misses her second flight.
Once they arrive at the resort, the housewives are split up into two houses. One house has Lisa, Karent, Joanna and Lisa. The second house is Alexia, Ana, Marysol and I'm assuming Adriana--if she ever makes it.
For some reason everyone is turning to Lea for advice. It's probably because she's wise (which is a nice way of saying she is the oldest). Karent asks Lea for advice on getting Rodolfo to commit to her. Lea says that she needs to put a time line on their relationship, because at the rate they're going she's not going to have a family any time soon.
Alexia asks Lea for her opinion on an article she has about Rodolfo. The article says that Rodolfo has found love with someone...and it's not Karent. It's a 24-year-old that says it was love at first sight. The ladies agree that it's weird Karent is still calling Rodolfo her boyfriend and talking about marriage because Karent has a publicist and there is no way she hasn't seen the article. Can't wait to see how this plays out!
Adriana finally makes it and the ladies seem happy to see her.
The girls head out to dinner on the water. It's really a beautiful view. I'm jealous that these women who do nothing besides fight with each other get to go on such a fabulous vacation. If anyone's selling a house in the Bahamas let me know.
The ladies get Lea to do shots and she says she's never been drunk. I find that hard to believe. But if not, I want to see what it's like to get a fifty-something woman drunk for the first time.
During dinner Lea brings up Karent and Rodolfo's relationship, which Karent doesn't appreciate because she doesn't feel comfortable sharing her personal life with the rest of the housewives. Little does she know, she looks like a true idiot since the women all know that Rodolfo's getting a little something-something on the side.
Joanna tells the ladies that she is using this weekend to decide whether she wants to stay with Roman or not. I wonder what the deciding factor will be?
Lisa shares that after four years not working she feels like she's losing her identity. I'm assuming that means she will be looking to get a job soon. I like Lisa, but what is she qualified to do?
Karent makes a toast to a "fabulous, peaceful, healing weekend." And immediately starts to rain... I think the gods are trying to tell the ladies something. Just kidding, the gods are too busy for their crap, but it's definitely a bad sign.
Back at the house Adriana brings up the topic of cheating, which is clearly meant to be a segway into the Rodolfo and Karent issue. Karent says that she's been cheated on before, and that she has been naive in past relationships.
Alexia pulls Lisa aside to ask for her opinion about Rodolfo cheating on her. So at this point, everyone knows except Karent and Joanna. So Alexia might as well just tell her, especially since it's so clear that Alexia is dying to tell her.
Alexia confronts Karent in front of everyone, which is super embarrassing, and with help from Lisa they tell Karent that Rodolfo is cheating on her. Karent says she doesn't believe it because she hasn't seen it with her own eyes, and neither has Alexia. It's really awkward because Karent is clearly embarassed and in denial.
Next week Lea and Marysol get into a fight, and Karent has what looks like a nervous breakdown.Copyright © 2014, The Baltimore Sun
