How 'Dexter' could end( Showtime / September 17, 2013 )
Dexter isn't one for planning for the future, but with Deb bleeding out, Elway closing in, and a hurricane looming, Dexter needs to pick his battles. He finally relinquished his need to kill, but Deb and Dexter are as old as time. He'll chase down (and kill) Saxon to revenge her pain, with no regard for anyone who gets in his way.
After that? Well, while the fairytale ending of Dexter starting over with Hannah is sweet, we all know better. Dexter has been too lucky for too long, and death will come a-knocking. If Deb dies and Hannah is caught, Dexter's burgeoning humanity may be too much to live with. Dexter has lived his whole life by the table, and it would only be fitting to die by it as well. No human could hold enough power to kill Dexter, but Dexter has more than one innocent's blood on his hands and maybe the last life he takes will be his own. --Cassandra Berube
