No one wants to be kicked off the show, but especially not the week when you reveal a very personal story on live TV.
The results show is designed to drag out the aforementioned results with a mix of guest performances by singers and dancers. But tonight's show featured a most eclectic mix of Mary J. Blige, a Southern belle number performed to an instrumental piece from "Gone With the Wind" and judge Len Goodman twistin' to a surprise performance by Chubby Checker (who even laid a wet one on Estelle, who accompanied him in singing "The Twist").
All that almost distracted me from my mission of ascertaining the show's verdict.
The three dances that didn't resonate with viewers this week were those performed by Carson Kressley, Hope Solo and Kristin Cavallari.
Despite earning the lowest score from the judges for the second week in a row, Chaz Bono was saved by votes from fans -- not even landing in the bottom three couples. Chaz and his partner, Lacey Schwimmer, seemed genuinely surprised at their fate.
Sent packing was Kristin Cavallari. I think she lacked some of the star power that boosts other competitors' scores. What's worse, it happened during the week her ex-fiance, Jay Cutler, quarterback for the Bears, came to watch her dance.
