Derek talks about how the Charleston is really cartoon-y and over the top. Amber had a very busy week and we see a montage of her yawning.
The dance veers from Charleston to hip hop at some points, which is appropriate for the song, but weird as a Charleston. Len says something that is drowned out by the crowd. Bruno agrees with it, and it was apparently something about the feet. He also thinks she lost a step once. Carrie Ann agrees on the feet.
Judges' Scores: Carrie Ann: 8; Len: 8; Bruno: 8
Jack Osbourne & Cheryl Burke
"Hollywood Swinging" by Kool & the Gang
Tom asks Jack if he almost slid during the opening and Jack confirms he did "overcook" it. Bruno liked the entrance, but says the cha cha needs more hip action. Carrie Ann explains why he's having trouble with the hips -- it's that he's taking too big a step. Len does want more hip action too.
Judges' Scores: Carrie Ann: 7; Len: 7; Bruno: 8
Christina Milian & Mark Ballas
Mark's wearing a face full of makeup in a harlequin/clown motif. It will haunt my dreams. But seriously, this is my biggest problem with Mark -- he seems to always do whatever it takes to pull focus from his partner. Christina is LITERALLY dancing in her underwear and yet how many people were like me and couldn't stop looking at Mark's weirdo clown face?
Carrie Ann loved it. Len liked the addition of Lindy Hop and other '20s steps, but would have liked sharper Charleston feet. Bruno is enthusiastic as well.
Judges' Scores: Carrie Ann: 9; Len: 8; Bruno: 9
Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi & Sasha Farber
"Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend," from Gentlemen Prefer Blondes
Len says he's surprised with how good she is at ballroom. Bruno says she was on fire but does note some footwork mistakes.
Judges' Scores: Carrie Ann: 9; Len: 8; Bruno: 8
