Right off the bat, The Millstream Inn in Baltimore County has two things going for it: no cover (my trip to Scores cost $10 before I stepped foot in the building) and a relaxed vibe. (Enjoying your dinner can be difficult with a scantily clad woman pushing a lap dance, but Millstream's "barmaids" were laid back.) Millstream's Facebook page touts "the best food of any club in town," so it was time to test the chef. Ham and cheese melt? Too easy. BBQ Cheddar burger sliders? Maybe another time. I decided on the fish tacos ($11) -- two soft-shell tacos filled with a surprising amount of blackened salmon, topped with shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses and diced tomatoes. Rice, avocado slices and paprika sour cream were served on the side. Fish tacos might not be your first choice at a strip club, but Millstream's version could easily be served in your favorite Baltimore diner. It won't rival anything the Oceanaire serves, but this dish had more flavor than I expected, thanks to the paprika sour cream and well-seasoned salmon. Fresh avocado was a nice touch, too. It's clear Millstream's chef takes the job seriously.
