Not so long ago, Maryland wasn't exactly known for its wines. That's changing, thanks in no small part to BLack Ankle Vineyards . One of their latest standouts is the 2010 Rolling Hills, a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Malbec and Petit Verdot. Not much rain fell in 2010, which gives it bright fruit notes balanced with some acidity. $30.
