Too much of Ryan Gosling is always a good thing.
Gosling takes on a more mainstream comedic (and shirtless) role in Friday's "Crazy, Stupid, Love." And I'm excited about it. But I'm also looking forward to seeing him in "Drive," out this September.
A description of the film from IMDB: "A Hollywood stunt performer [Gosling] who moonlights as a wheelman discovers that a contract has been put on him after a heist gone wrong."
At first read, it sounds like another crappy action movie, perhaps starring Vin Diesel. But "Drive" has received massive amounts of acclaim (its director, Nicolas Winding Refn, won the best director award at this year's Cannes Film Festival) and Gosling is already getting Oscar buzz.
Plus, I'm digging the impressive supporting cast: Carey Mulligan, Bryan Cranston, Christina Hendricks, Albert Brooks, etc.
