Sea Horse Inn

"Can you get me another, hon?" an elderly regular asked the Sea Horse Inn bartender. "I can't remember if it was Budweiser or not, but after five beers, they all taste the same to me." Ah, the sounds of a true neighborhood bar. Located on Bear Creek, the Seahorse Inn offers a serene view of the water and a patio bar. Order a Bud if you want -- or opt for a Yuengling ($2.50), and watch the older crowd play Keno and chat. The younger clientele comes later in the night when the outdoor bar opens. Many are there for rum-based Fish Bowls, which come in 32- ($8) and 64-ounce ($15) sizes. The outside tables and chairs -- all brightly painted in different, summery colors -- stand tall enough to offer a calming view of the water. If you'd rather be active but still very relaxed, head over to the free horseshoe pits, but first make sure you're not interrupting a local league match. Regulars don't like that.
