'The Cabin in the Woods' (April 13)

Sure, the title evokes about 82 percent of all horror films released during the past six years. And its basic description leaves much to be desired: Five friends go to a cabin in the woods. There is a mystery with said cabin in the woods. But buzz is surprisingly good for what's being described as a witty, subversive take (Joss Whedon wrote the script with Drew Goddard) on the horror genre, and one that still manages to be pretty freakin' scary. Our excitement level: 8. High for a horror film, yes. But Whedon really can do no wrong in our book. And we're all for something that makes horror movies fun and scary again. Mutant Enemy
