Other Gwyneth Paltrow-inspired names for breakups [Pictures]
Why say "separating" when you can go with something more pretentious ... sorry, we mean "intellectual."

Tuesday, a date which will live in infamy (for someone we guess), Gwyneth Paltrow announced her separation from her husband of more than 10 years, Coldplay's Chris Martin.
And she did it in a very Paltrowy way. Not only was it announced via her lifestyle blog Goop (weird), the blog post was titled "Conscious Uncoupling" (double weird).
We applaud whenever a celeb couple goes the mature, non-nasty route with this stuff (especially when children are involved), but seriously -- "concious uncoupling"? Who says that besides the Dowager Countess on "Downton Abbey"?
Still, it got us thinking that it may start a new trend of odd, proper ways to describe a breakup. Feel free to use these. -- By Jordan Bartel, The Baltimore Sun
