National Aquarium to celebrate World Frog Day on Thursday

It's the most wonderful time of the year.

For frogs.

Yes, Thursday (March 20) marks World Frog Day. This year, it happens to correspond with Friday's release of "Muppets Most Wanted." Kermit is a powerful guy.

I've been told that the National Aquarium, who created the super-cool infographic above, will celebrate Thursday with on-site frog encounters, held throughout the day, at the children's gallery on Pier IV (the encounters are part of the admission fee).

In the meantime, may I suggest spending the day thinking of how awesome frogs are? This infographic will get you started.

Time well spent.

P.S.: Not going to lie — I'm a little scared/in awe of the frog that freezes and unthaws each year.
