News item 3 -- Violence

( December 18, 2012 ) Terrible things happened this year, from mass shootings in Aurora, Colo., and Newtown, Conn., to the alleged cannibalist at Morgan State. In Florida, a guy chewed off another guy's face. And in Baltimore, a year after we saw homicides dip to their lowest number in decades, we're back above 200 again. Hopefully, new police Commissioner Anthony Batts will turn around the trend, and help make 2013 a safer year. |
