The page-turners

This year, Stephen King released a sequel to "The Shining." J.K. Rowling was outed as the author of "The Cuckoo's Calling." And your great aunt probably picked up "Inferno," the latest by "The Da Vinci Code" author Dan Brown (if so, please have a chat with her). But these big names didn't make the cut when we asked the Pratt Library staff about their favorite reads of the year. And that's more than fine. Their picks reflect the great diversity of offerings this year -- and wonderful output from Baltimore authors. Time to fill the remaining holes in your book shelf this year.
