How to make The Gold Bug
8 oz. Apple Cider
1 oz. Myer's Rum
1 1/2 oz. Captain Morgan's Rum
1/2 tsp. butter
1/2 tsp. brown sugar
1 tsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Lemon slice, cloved
Heat cider, mixing in butter, sugars and cinnamon; serve hot; garnish with lemon and cinnamon stick
Annabel Lee Tavern proprietor Kurt Bragunier's concoction inspires visions of falling leaves, a smoky fireplace, and a plate of warm comfort food . Luckily, Highlandtown's Annabel Lee has all three (yes, it has a fireplace and falling-leaves décor). Nostalgic and cozy, The Golden Bug is the perfect fall spirit to cheer up the weak and weary.
