major scientists and mathemeticians(with peer prizes and publications listed)
judges who sit on federal(not state) courts
Diplomats with rank of Ambassador and above since 1980
Percent of UMCP(not UMDMC) grads per year since 1980 who have become licensed to practice medicine in Maryland.
Dollars per yr donated to UMCP by either grads or nongrads of UMCP who were varsity football or basketball scholarship players.
the state needs to stop assuming its massive investment in this middling factory has paid off; indeed, the state right now lacks an evaluation system of the long-term value to the State(as opposed to the grads or attendees) of any of the state subsidized colleges. Some may be worthy of subsdy and some may not.
Metrics and hard-nosed evaluation, not boozy alumni sentiment of Assembly members, must be used.
