The Mayor's Annual Christmas Parade( Karen Jackson, Patuxent Homestead / December 4, 2011 )
The 40th Annual Mayor's Christmas Parade winds 2.5 miles through Baltimore, starting at Poly/Western High Schools, and features Santa Claus and about 160 marching units. The parade will also include floats by local TV and radio personalities, more than 100 Harley Davidson motorcycles, local bands, and Miss and Junior Miss Yuletide. This year's Grand Marshall will be novelist Laura Lippman.
The parade begins at 1 p.m. Dec. 2 at Poly/Western High Schools, cross Cold Spring Lane, go south on Falls Road to 36th Street, turn east on 36th Street, turn north on Chestnut Avenue and end at 37th Street. Go to mayorschristmasparade.com.
