Celebrate Kwanzaa with the Reginald F. Lewis Museum with face painting, crafts, story-telling by the Growing Griots and a presentation by the Kulu Mele African Dance and Drum Ensemble. The festival will also include an African Marketplace with gifts. The event is in conjunction with the exhibit "Growing Up AFRO," which includes photographs from Afro-American newspapers of black childhoods.
The celebration is noon-4 p.m. Dec. 29 at the Reginald F. Lewis Museum, 830 E. Pratt St. Admission is $10, $7 if you are a member of for children 12 and under. Call 443-263-1829 or go to rflewismuseum.org.
