Baltimore events to heat up winter [Pictures]
Can it be that our long national nightmare is finally drawing to a close? We refer, of course, to winter, that three-month period of freezing weather and the constant threat of white death that has held Baltimore in its frigid grip since December.
But fear not, for we are truly in the home stretch: Spring arrives officially March 20. And to help the waning weeks of winter pass even more quickly, here are 12 events scheduled for the next month or so to help take your mind off the winter doldrums. --By Chris Kaltenbach

Laugh therapy
What better way to face the scourge of winter than with a laugh? This weekend offers two chances to have a good time. On Feb. 15, D.L. Hughley, Mark Curry, Sommore and Bruce Bruce will be onstage at 8 p.m. at 1st Mariner Arena for the Royal Comedy Tour. On Feb. 16, it's Larry the Cable Guy (pictured) for two shows, 5 p.m. and 8 p.m., at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall.
