Downtown Countdown

With 12 different party areas, Downtown Countdown at the Grand Historic Venue is expecting a big crowd. It's more of a formal event -- organizers encourage guys to wear a funky jacket and tie or tux, and girls to don a cocktail or formal dress. Among the main attractions: comedians with sets every 30 minutes, multiple bars, buffets and live music from bands like The Grilled Lincolns. General admission tickets start at $99, and the event begins at 9 p.m.
