In seven years as an at-home dad, I've learned how to find family fun on the cheap, whether it's indoors or out. Start on a Friday by using one of those vacation days you never took during the summer, and use it to trade a day in the office for a day at a fire museum, or head indoors with your progeny and catch some live entertainment -- without having to pay for parking and a baby sitter. Try these ideas for kids in preschool through eighth grade.<br>
