5. Listen in on some fan programming
There may be no better way to immerse yourself in Japanese (and Otakon) culture than to hear what the fans have to say. Panels, presentations and roundtable discussions, running from 60 to 120 minutes, will be presented through the weekend. Scheduled topics range from current events in Japan to how to build a costume. You might even catch a celebrity Q&A, like this one from 2005 that featured Yumi from the pop duo Puffy AmiYumi.
