It costs a little extra, but the state fair's general admission concerts are always a highlight of the 11-day celebration. A couple years back, organizers even got Justin Bieber to play the fair. This year's concert schedule starts off with the Grammy-nominated Christian pop band Newsboys (pictured), joined by The Afters. Showtime is 7:30 p.m. Aug. 28. Tickets are $24. As always, all seats are general admission, so get to the racetrack infield early for the best seats.
