She took some time to talk with b in the days preceding the Collective’s newest show, a collaborative effort between the dancers, Baltimore band The Water and DJ Relax. Check out her talent on Friday, but check out her answers now:
Worst pet peeve?
When people are unnecessarily rude. It’s so important to simply say please and thank you ... and it’s not that hard to do! I also don’t like overuse of the word “chunk.”
Last video that made you snort with laughter?
The YouTube video “Baby trashes bar in Las Palmas.” It’s ridiculous!
What’s on your iPod?
My actual iPod drowned — but I love having a huge variety of music. I love Howlin’ Wolf, Trey Songz, The Unicorns, Radiohead, Disney, The Temptations, Sam Cooke ... a bit of everything!
What song are you hating/loving right now?
Hate: Lady Gaga’s “Edge of Glory.” Love: “Party Rock Anthem”!
Favorite and most loathed fashion statements?
Favorites: anything neon or covered in glitter. Most loathed: using B.O. as an accessory.
Favorite style of dance to watch?
All styles of hip-hop: Breakdancing, Krumping, Voguing ... I wish I could move like that!
Program you compulsively DVR?
I don’t own a DVR, or even have cable, but I am known to be a sucker for cheesy reality/competitive shows (i.e. “Extreme Couponing,” “Project Runway,” “So You Think You Can Dance,” “America’s Next Top Model,” “Iron Chef,” etc).
Last great meal you had?
Sushi at Aloha on Charles Street. It’s my absolute favorite place in the city!
Last movie you liked/disliked?
Liked “Friends with Benefits”; disliked “Tree of Life.”
