Total Locations:
4708 Edmondson Ave
Baltimore, MD 21229
Just inside the city line, this house and its almost-as-brightly lit neighbor includes a glowing manger scene (complete with star), windows outlined in red lights and even a decorated chimney. Both houses are outlined in twinkling lights, while a menagerie of electric reindeer graze the lawns.
407 Gittings Ave
Baltimore, MD 21212
Resembling nothing so much as a grove of electric-powered trees, the architects behind this Christmas showcase came up with a display that's plenty bright without being gaudy. Tiny blue lights in one large tree loom over the yard's west side like a tinted cloud, while a twinkling arch turns even the driveway festive. Don't miss Santa's sleigh on the roof, with a license plate that reads "NP1."
Mercy Holiday Garden
301 St Paul Pl
Baltimore, MD 21202
Every year, the good folks at Mercy Hospital set up this festive holiday garden across the street from their building, giving patients (as well as frustrated downtown drivers) something cheery to look at. Toy soldiers, elves, reindeer, angels -- nearly 50 figures in all, stretching along St. Paul from Saratoga to Mulberry streets.
321 Gralan Rd
Catonsville, MD 21228
A lighted inflatable Santa climbs a lighted inflatable tree, while a carousel, rocking horse and train cars weave their holiday magic nearby. There’s even what looks like a crystal snowman, not to mention some luminous holiday gift boxes.
Symphony Woods
10475 Little Patuxent Pkwy
Columbia, MD 21044
More than 70 larger-than-life displays, featuring everything from toy soldiers to snowflakes to Santa himself, have made this an area favorite for 17 years. Best part: You can drive through and enjoy everything from the warmth and safety of your car.
200 4th Ave
Glen Burnie, MD 21061
There's no shortage of elaborate lighting displays in this northern Anne Arundel County neighborhood, but this may be the best. There's Santa getting ready to ascend in a hot-air balloon, Snoopy lying atop a wreath, Santa and his reindeer on a seesaw and several snowmen. Sure it's excessive; isn't that the point?
1401 Boyce Ave
Towson, MD 21204
A streaming star, its tale nearly as long as the house itself, sets this landscape beautifully apart.
5512 Sykesville Rd
Sykesville, MD 21784
A steady procession of lighted Christmas decorations seems to be marching toward the street from this house, following a path outlined by lighted candy canes. Among the giant inflatable decorations are an especially rotund Santa, plus the Jolly Old Elf piloting a plane and making like a train engineer.
2460 Spring Lake Dr
Lutherville-Timonium, MD 21093
All the wind machines make this yard sound like an airport runway, but the effect is undeniably jolly. It's as though someone called a convention of blow-up holiday figures, and just about everyone showed up.
34th Street lights in Hampden
700-799 W 34th St
Baltimore, MD 21211
What more can be said about this most festive of Baltimore's streets? If you've never walked its length during Christmas season, do. There's no better way to get in the holiday spirit. See pictures
