Previous football experience: "No, not really. My brothers both play football. My brother Chris actually plays linebacker for the University of Delaware [Ravens QB Joe Flacco's alma mater], and my younger brother, Patrick, he plays for his high school team."
What would you like your fans to know about you? "I'm a Maryland girl at heart, Penn State alumni -- Go Lions! -- and this has just really been a life-changing experience for me. I have a different body; I may look the same as I did five months ago, but my body is completely different. The way I approach life's daily activities is completely different. And my confidence is just so much higher. It's an amazing experience."
What do your friends and family think about you being in the LFL? "Their first reaction was like, 'Really?' I've been a cheerleader and a dancer my whole life. I do play other sports -- lacrosse -- but they didn't think that I could handle the hitting. But they've been extremely supportive, no one's like, 'Lingerie this' and 'lingerie that.' Everyone's been extremely supportive and really proud of me."
What did you think, the first time you put on the uniform? "I was kind of shocked. Actually, knowing that I was here for the tryout in May, and knowing what I've gone through the last five months, it was just a relief, honestly. I felt proud of myself. I've worn less things for cheerleading and dance and bathing suits. It was no problem for me."
Worth noting: "I won the most-spirited award twice, for middle school and high school. I won it two years in a row. I'm a six-time All-American for cheerleading. And I have seven screws and a plate in my left ankle."
