Pictures: 50 things to do in Baltimore this summer
Baltimoreans get creative when it comes to escaping or embracing hot, humid summer days. There's a surprising selection of activities in the city that serve to either distract from the weather at hand or help cool down rising temperatures -- from movie theaters and frozen treats to historic nooks and landscaped parks. Think of it as a seasonal bucket list. And remember: In Baltimore, it's not the heat, it's the activity.

Al fresco happy hours
Baltimore summers are often brutal enough to send even the coolest person to the nearest air conditioned building. However, if you're going to be outside, you should be outside with a frosty, alcoholic beverage in your hand. Some great places to do that include the Bay Cafe, Grand Cru, John Steven Ltd., One-Eyed Mike's (and most of the bars in Fells Point), Little Havana and Nick's.

I'm surprised Otakon was not listed on this list, since it has been in Baltimore every summer for the past 18 years? Every year it brings in atleast 30,000 people, of which half are dressed in crazy costumes and roam the streets of Baltimore, raising many eyebrows.

I'm surprised no other BCC events were featured on this list.
