It's not out of the question this season, Baltimore. This may be our year. With a decimated roster, the evil New York Yankees are merely hanging on by a thread. The loaded Toronto Blue Jays roster has surged as of late, but still haven't lived up to their preseason hype. Really, what stands between the O's and their first division title since 1997 is the Boston Red Sox. As of Monday, Baltimore sits 2.5 games behind the first-place BoSox, but the O's have won both series the teams have played, taking five of the seven games played. The second half of the season brings four more series with the Sox, including a season-ending three-game series at home (Sept. 27-29) that could end up deciding who will be raising the AL East flag.
