This week's Theater Loop Showcase video is the national tour of "Peter and the Starcatcher," currently in town for a two-week run at the Bank of America Theatre. The Tony Award-winning show by Rick Elice tells the story of how J.M. Barrie's famous character became the flying boy who never grew up using music and stylized ensemble antics. In this scene, "Boy," played by Chicago actor Joey deBettencourt, and the fearsome, foppish Black Stache, played here by John Sanders, meet alone for the first time aboard the Neverland. "Peter and the Starcatcher" plays the Bank of America Theatre through April 13. Chris Jones has the review.
We filmed this video, a scene from the show, in our studio in Tribune Tower.
