The racy, mega-selling novel "Fifty Shades of Grey," by E. L. James, has spawned a stage parody that is heading to Baltimore.
"50 Shades! The Musical," which has been quite a hit in Chicago, New York and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, will be performed at 8 p.m. May 4 at the Hippodrome as part of an extensive national tour.
With roots in the Chicago improv group Baby Wants Candy, the show (for those 18 and older) takes on the book from various angles, which means lots of references to sex and bondage, and song titles that cannot be printed in family newspapers. There's dancing, a live band and lots of opportunities to relive some of your favorite steamy passages.
