An ideal place to spend a rainy afternoon (and a portion of your paycheck), the White Marsh Mall boasts more than 150 stores and restaurants in a spacious two-story shopping complex. As traditional malls go, it's not the biggest or brightest in the area (Arundel Mills, anyone?), but its quaint design and lack of sensory overload is agreeable and calming. JC Penny, Sears, Macy's and Hecht's are the anchor department stores, while the smaller specialty stores include FYE!, Spencer Gifts, Things Remembered and the Disney Store, and the upstairs food court contains items ranging from Cajun Gourmet to Taco Bell to Ruby Tuesday's.--Jamie Peck
