Marley Station may not hold a candle to Arundel Mills or Annapolis Mall, but it's still Glen Burnie's best indoor shopping area. The anchor department stores are Hecht's, J.C. Penney, Macy's and Sears, but Marley Station has a few quirkier smaller shops that make for interesting retail alternatives. Bombay Company is a furniture and accessory store that recreates the home furnishings of the 18th and 19th centuries, and Cartoon Cuts is a barbershop that children won't mind visiting every so often because of the lively atmosphere and TV sets and video games that will entertain them while they sit for a trim. A new Gold's Gym lets you work up an appetite for shopping or gives you some extra time to sweat out a major dent in your credit card. The food court offers fast-food options as well as sit-down restaurants like Rocky Run and Ruby Tuesday, and the eight-screen United Artists Theater plays only first-run movies.--Jamie Peck www.shopmarleystation.com
