Poetry month in full swing

We're just about a full week into National Poetry Month, and in Hampton Roads, there is no shortage of opportunities for you to soak up all the verse you want. Here's what's coming up in the next couple weeks.

The Patarick Hayes Writers Series at William and Mary presents alumni Steve Kisulentz and Rebecca Lindenberg reading from their new books of poetry.
When? Thursday, April 11, 5 p.m.
Where? College of William and Mary Blow Hall, Room 201

Kistulentz authored "The Luckless Age" (Red Hen Press, 2011) which won the 2009 Benjamin Saltman Award. His works have appeared in Antioch, Black Warrior, New Letters and Quarterly West. He currently teaches creative writing, literature and popular culture at Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi.

In "Love, An Annex," Lindenberg wrote about her relationship with her partner, poet Craig Arnold, who went missing in Japan in 2009. "Love, An Annex" is Lindenberg's first book of poetry, and also the first publication by the new Poetry Series 2012 by McSweeney. Currently Lindenberg teaches in the English Department at Utah State University.
