The third Thursday of each month, the Peninsula Fine Arts Center (PFAC) hosts "Art after 5," a poetry reading/movie night. This month's reading will feature special guest Carolyn Kreiter-Foronda, Virginia's poet laureate from 2006 to 2008. Kreither-Foronda is the author of six books (including her most recent,"The Embrace: Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo") and is a six-time Pulitzer Prize nominee for her poetry, according to her website.
Also scheduled to read are local poets Nancy Powell, Barbara Drucker Smith, Erika St. Dennis and Joe Bruni. An open reading will follow, time permitting. The poetry reading begins at 6 p.m.
The featured movie (free to PFAC members and $3 for non-members), "Basquait: Radiant Child" will begin at 7 p.m.
