In the 6800 block of Waltons Lane

On Aug. 2, a credit card fraud report was filed in which a male victim lost his wallet in Gloucester on July 29. On the same date, a purchase was made a Wal-Mart in Gloucester for $368.96 and two additional purchases at unknown locations or transactions amounts with a Langley Federal Credit Union debit card. The wallet contained several credit cards. The case is under investigation.

In the 8100 block of Carrie Lane

On Aug 3 at 2:45 a.m., a damaged property report was filed from a residence in the 8100 block of Carrie Lane in which the driver's side mirror was broken off a vehicle (2013 Dodge Avenger) and thrown down the roadway while the vehicle was parked at a residence. The damage was $150.

In the 8600 block of George Washington Memorial Highway

On Aug. 3 at 9:06 a.m., a sheriff's deputy observed a vehicle traveling in the area of the 8600 block of George Washington Memorial Highway slow down and come to stop on the roadway. The male driver, the only occupant, locked the doors and refused to roll down the window for the deputy. The driver continued to refuse commands and was observed huffing from a canister. Entry was made to the vehicle and the driver transported to the emergency room. When medically cleared, William W. Morrisette, 45, of New Kent was issued six summonses for obstruction of justice, driving while suspended, reckless driving, drinking while driving, improper stopping on highway, and inhaling drugs or noxious chemical.

In the area of Belroi Road

On Aug. 3 at 6:43 p.m., a traffic stop in the area of Belroi Road and George Washington Memorial Highway resulted in the driver, Melissa W. McGill, 35, of Gloucester, being issued a summons for driving suspended and defective brake lights.

In the 7000 block of George Washington Memorial Highway

On Aug. 1 at 5:10 p.m., a report was filed of domestic assault between a boyfriend/girlfriend who resided together in the 8000 block of Waverly Lane. The assault occurred while traveling in a vehicle in Gloucester County. Robert B. Stokes, 55, of Gloucester, was arrested and charged with assault and battery — family member third offense.

In the 7000 block of George Washington Memorial Highway

On Aug. 1 at 5:10 p.m., Joanne Reed, 47, of Gloucester, was arrested and charged with public swearing or intoxication in the parking lot of a McDonald's.

In the 7600 block of Guinea Road

On Aug. 1, a larceny report was filed concerning an unsecured vehicle in the 7600 block of Guinea Road, which occurred between July 27-29. An Apple iPod and Rigid Job Site stereo were taken, valued at over $200.

In the 6800 block of Waltons Lane

On Aug. 1 at 6:13 p.m., a traffic stop for running a red light at the intersection of West Main Street and Route 17 resulted in the driver, Nicole L. Shifflett, 25, of Gloucester, being arrested and charged with DUI-first offense, refusing a blood/breath test and failure to obey traffic light — run red light, and issued a summons for the traffic offense.

In the 7000 block of George Washington Memorial Highway

On Aug. 1 at 11:30 p.m., sheriff's deputies responded to a McDonald's referencing an intoxicated driver possibly striking the side of the building at the drive through. The vehicle and driver description were provided. The occupied vehicle was located on scene, parked with the engine running. The driver, Brittany N. Teter, 26, of Hayes, was arrested and charged with for DWI-first offense. The building was not damaged.

In the 8500 block of Guinea Road

On Aug. 2 at 12:24 a.m., a report of intoxicated driver was filed in the area of the 2300 block of George Washington Memorial Highway. A vehicle was located parked with the engine running in the 8500 block of Guinea Road. The driver, Kevin G. Smith, 51, of Hayes, was arrested and charged with DWI-first offense.

In the 6800 block of Ware House Road

On Aug. 2 at 2:01 a.m., a vehicle was observed crossing the center line multiple times on West Main Street in the area of T.C. Walker Road. A traffic stop resulted in driver, Yon A. White, 44, of Gloucester, being arrested and charged with DWI-first offense.

In the 1500 block of Laurens Road

On Aug. 2 at 9:10 a.m., a report of domestic assault between male and female at their shared residence in the 1500 block of Lauren Road was filed. Stephanie C. Matthews, 47, of Gloucester, was arrested and charged with assault and battery — family member.

In the 4800 block of Nursery Lane

On Aug. 2, a trespassing report was filed. A male suspect was located. John Doe, a homeless man in the 30-35-year-old age range, was arrested and charged with trespass on posted property.

In the 6600 block of Main Street

On Aug. 2, a shoplifting report was filed from the ABC store on Main Street, which occurred at 11 a.m. Employees observed a male conceal a bottle of Crown Royal (priced at $16.95) inside his clothing and exit the store.

In the 7000 block of Woodsville Road

On Aug. 2 at 1 p.m., a report of domestic assault was filed between a daughter-in-law and mother-in-law at their shared residence. Christina L. Henson, 26, of Hayes, was arrested and charged with assault and battery — family member.

In the 6800 block of Waltons Lane

On Aug. 2, a shoplifting report was filed from a Wal-Mart. Loss prevention observed a male conceal general merchandise and depart past all points of sale. The male was located, and the items, valued at $87.55 were recovered and returned. Jermaine A. Wells, 23, of Newport News, was arrested and charged with larceny or theft — third or subsequent offense.

On Main Street

On Aug. 2, a traffic stop for defective equipment in the area of NAPA Auto Parts on Main Street resulted in the driver, Melissa J. Bush, 44, of Newport News, was arrested and charged with DWI with child — first offense and abuse and neglect of children reckless disregard.

In the 3000 block of George Washington Memorial Highway

On Aug. 3 at 12:27 a.m., a traffic stop for a vehicle swerving on the roadway in the area of Maryus Road and Guinea Road resulted in the driver, Richard C. Schmidt, 24, of Gloucester, being arrested and charged with DWI — first offense, expired rejection/state inspection decal, expired state tags and traffic equipment — missing tail light/license plate light.

On George Washington Memorial Highway

On Aug. 3, a traffic stop for a vehicle swerving over the lines in the area of George Washington Memorial Highway and Nursery Lane resulted in the driver, Jeffery T. Tolefson, 52, of Gloucester, being arrested and charged with DWI — first offense and refuse blood/breath test.

In the 6200 block of Professional Drive

James E. Harrell, 22, of Gloucester, was arrested and charged with assault and battery — police officer or firefighter, destroy property and obstructing justice.

In the 7800 block of Guinea Road

On July 29, a larceny report was filed regarding an unsecured vehicle parked in the driveway of a residence. A Bayport Credit Union debit card was stolen and used at Family Dollar at the York River Crossing Shopping Center in the amount of $47.70 July 28. The case is under investigation.

In the 6800 block of Waltons Lane

On July 29, a fraud report was filed regarding an incident at a Wal-Mart, in which a female returned unpaid for merchandise to customer service and obtains a refund in the form of a gift card for $577. The female and a male are observed on security video removing the items (a Dyson vacuum and Bostitch socket set) from the shelf and returning the items without paying for them. The case is under investigation.

In the 6700 block Main Street

On July 30, a larceny report was taken from the Courthouse Pawn shop, which security video revealed a Bose Wave radio was removed from the shelf by a male customer who departed the store without paying for the item July 28. The item is valued over $200. The case is under investigation.

In the 6500 block of Ark Road

On July 29, a report was taken regarding threats made over the telephone. A juvenile female victim received threatening phone calls from an adult female family member. The adult female, Crystal R. Sheshene, 41, of Gloucester, was arrested and charged with with profane, threatening language over public airway and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

In the 6700 block of Beech Creek Road

On July 29, a larceny report was filed from a residence in the 6700 block of Beech Creek Road, thought to have occurred July 24. A MP-22 pistol, three iPhones and an undisclosed amount of cash were taken, total value over $200. There were no signs of forced entry. The victims delayed reporting in hopes of locating the items. The case is under investigation.

In the 2800 block of Kemp Lane

On July 30, a larceny report was filed from the driveway of a residence. A ladies Huffy beach cruiser bicycle, lime green in color, was taken overnight, valued at less than $200.

In the 6800 block of Waltons Lane

On July 30, a shoplifting report was filed from Wal-Mart. Loss prevention observed a female remove general merchandise items from shelves/counters and place the items inside a cart. The female exited past all points of sale. The female was located on scene, and the items, totaling $450, were recovered and returned. Casey L. Landerer, 31, of Gloucester, was arrested and charged with grand larceny.

In the 4200 block of Aberdeen Creek Road

On July 30, a fraud report was taken, in which a female victim had fraudulent online transactions to her EVB and First Advantage Federal Credit Union accounts that occurred on or about July 14 for $300. The victim was advised she had won the lottery and needed to provide bank account information to have the winnings deposited.

In the 11800 block of Dogwood Trail

On July 31, a breaking and entering report was taken from a residence, which occurred between 1:15-4:30 p.m. Forced entry was made to the back door. Jewelry and an undisclosed amount of cash were taken. The case is under investigation.

On Roper Road

On Aug. 1 at 1:39 p.m, a traffic stop in the area of Greate Road and Roper Road for a defective headlight resulted in the driver, Shannon K. Hogge, 20, of Gloucester Point, issued three summons for defective equipment being the headlight, one for possession of marijuana, and one for possession of drug paraphernalia.
