The annual Virginia Institute of Marine Science "Marine Science Day" will be held Saturday at the Gloucester Point campus from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The open house features exhibits, a parade, children's activities, seining on the York River, lab tours, seafood cooking demonstrations, mini-lectures and other events, said a VIMS spokesman.
The event, including parking, is free and open to the public.
The parade begins at 11 a.m. Participants will vie for a best of parade winner receives a $50 gift certificate to the VIMS gift shop.Copyright © 2014, The Baltimore Sun
