In the VIS Division II quarterfinals, No. 1 Williamsburg Christian Academy beat Atlantic Shores 65-40 behind Imani Bryant’s 21 points and 16 rebounds. Nissa Chillers (16 points), Stephanie Seaman (14) and Kiana Batagelj (14) also reached double figures for the Eagles.
WCA will play a semifinal at noon Friday in the St. Anne’s-Belfield gym in Charlottesville against No. 4 Hampton Roads Academy, which beat visiting Seton of Manassas 71-55 as Braysia Hicks had 12 points and 11 rebounds and Rachel Lia added 15 points, nine assists and five steals.
In the other half of the Division II bracket, No. 2 Nansemond-Suffolk Academy routed Norfolk Christian 67-31 behind 22 points from Jessica Pieroni. ...
